We Have a Prototype π
An ETH Global Hackathon Story
Written by Veronica Zora Kirin, Founding Member.
It was late Monday night when my Airbnb roommate said to me, βHey, did you know about the ETH Hackathon?β We had just settled in at EthCC in Brussels, and I was keen to develop something, anything, tech-wise for Asterisk. We had been building our business model and whitepaper for ten months. We were ready.
The hackathon website said applications had already closed, but I thought, βWhy not?β I completed the application and crossed my fingers.
The next day, I was pleased to find an acceptance email in the AsteriskDAO inbox. Hooray!
The week flew by, and on Friday I landed at the pre-hack brunch where I knew I needed to build connections that might become a team. There were incredible minds and some swell projects already in the making. It was an honor to be surrounded by them all!
The rest was a whirlwind. By Friday evening the team had formed. We reviewed the wireframes that I had designed with the help of the Asterisk Team over the past month, made some necessary cuts, then retreated to our beds. Hackathons are incredible sprints, and we all knew we had to rest up for what would become a solid 24 hours of hacking (with no sleep).
And so, our prototype was born. It offers a first look at how participants might log in and interact with what will become the first female-only OCD symptom data pool. Weβd love for you to have a look. π
